George Gross (1909–2003) was an American illustrator whose career included pulp magazine covers and interior art, book illustration and later paperback work.

Born in Brooklyn to Hungarian immigrant parents, he grew up in a family with artistic connections: his father worked in the fashion industry and operated an art studio. Gross developed into a versatile commercial artist working across popular genres. His documented pulp credits span detective, adventure, science fiction and sports magazines, including Bulls Eye Detective, Planet Stories, Women in Crime and Fight Stories. In later decades he illustrated paperback series, including The Avenger and Nick Carter. These credits show an unusually long career in mass-market publishing, extending well beyond the pulp era.
