Julius W. Long (1907–1955) was an American lawyer and pulp crime writer who practiced law in Bellefontaine, Ohio. His stories appeared in Black Mask, Dime Detective, and Detective Story Magazine. He created Clarence Darrow Mort, nicknamed “Corpus Delicti,” a defense attorney whose cases mixed detection with an offbeat character portrait.
Long also wrote about Ben Corbett, a district attorney’s chief inspector, for Black Mask. His only novel was Keep the Coffins Coming (1947).
